Connect Telegram

Connect a Telegram bot so people who message it land in your ConnectBetter inbox.

Before you begin

• You need to be an Admin in ConnectBetter.
• You'll create a bot in Telegram and copy its token (the steps below walk you through it).

Step 1 — Create a bot and get its token

1. In Telegram, open a chat with @BotFather.
2. Send /newbot and follow the prompts to name your bot and choose a username.
3. BotFather replies with an access token that looks like 123456:ABCDEF…. Copy it.

Keep this token private — anyone with it can control your bot.

Step 2 — Connect it in ConnectBetter

1. Sign in at app.connectbetter.co.
2. Go to Settings → Channels and choose Telegram.
3. Paste the token into the Connect a bot field and select Connect.

Your bot appears under Connected bots, and chats people start with it arrive in your Inbox.

Disconnect a bot

Open Settings → Channels → Telegram and select Disconnect next to the bot.
