How to delete your account
Permanently close your ConnectBetter account and remove your personal data.

Deleting your account permanently removes your profile and personal data from ConnectBetter. This guide walks you through the steps and explains what to expect.
Before you begin
- Account deletion is permanent. Once your account is removed, it cannot be restored. If you only want to step away temporarily, consider signing out instead.
- Check your organizations. If you're the owner of an organization, you'll need to either transfer ownership to another member or delete the organization before your account can be removed. See If you own an organization below.
- Export anything you need first. Save any data you want to keep before you start.
Delete your account
- Sign in at app.connectbetter.co.
- Open Settings from the menu under your avatar.
- Go to the Account section.
- Select Delete account.
- Confirm by following the prompt. You may be asked to re-enter your email to confirm.
Once confirmed, you'll be signed out immediately.
What happens after you delete
- Your profile and login credentials are removed, and you'll no longer be able to sign in.
- You're removed from every organization you belonged to.
- Messages you sent in shared inboxes may remain part of those conversations for the organizations you worked in, but they're no longer linked to an active account.
If you own an organization
An organization can't be left without an owner. Before deleting your account, do one of the following:
- Transfer ownership — In Settings → Organization → Members, promote another member to owner.
- Delete the organization — If the organization is no longer needed, an owner can delete it from Settings → Organization. This removes the organization and its data for everyone on the team.
